Actors Nina Arianda and Hugh Dancy come by to discuss their roles in David Ives’ provocative play Venus in Fur. Nina won the prestigious Clarence Derwent Award, among others, for her performance in the original 2010 Classic Stage Company production. Now, she is repeating this role at the Lyceum Theatre, again directed by Walter Bobbie, with Dancy as her leading man. The pair talk about how they worked together to recreate the impact of this drama on Broadway, which was inspired in part by the 19th-century novella by Leopold von Sacher-Mason, called Venus in Furs.
