Jesse Green, of New York Magazine, Michael Musto, of The Village Voice, and Patrick Pacheco of the Los Angeles Times anticipate the new season on Broadway with productions that include: Once, Clybourne Park, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Death of a Salesman, and the potentially epic Shatner’s World: We Just Live In It. Also on the agenda, Smash, the new NBC series about Broadway, which everyone (particularly Michael Riedel) is talking about.
michael, i don’t know what you were on on feb.11, but you were even more of an ass than usual. your talking about clybourne park without having seen the original off bway production, your uninformed hubris, can potentially prejudice the show’s future. your casual disregard for the damage you can cause is disturbing. i thought you might want to actually support good theater, but it appears you are more interested in “performing”. don’t call us, you didn’t get the part. not only can’t you sing, but you can’t act.
I always enjoy the interplay with your ‘resident’ panel of critics (although so much laughter impedes hearing) – but this week’s version was killer. I always dvr the show, since I’m asleep when it airs on Thirteen, so this morning I was laughing when the show ended with All I Ask of You – lo and behold, when my tv switched to live, there was the two leads from the current Phantom on CBS Morning News singing AIAOY live on their set – freeekkkkyyyy!!! Keep it up guys, although restrain the Smashing please!
