Theater Talk celebrates the holidays with two of the New York theater’s current leading lights, Colin Quinn, now starring in Colin Quinn Long Story Short on Broadway, and Todd Robbins, star of Play Dead Off-Broadway. In the first segment, Quinn, in a funny, wide-ranging and self-effacing interview discusses subjects from his new show at the Booth, Spider-Man, WikiLeaks, and the economy of Ireland. Youtube Preview

Next, magician Todd Robbins, speaking of lights, eats some glass ones off of our Christmas display, one of the many feats of magic from Play Dead, which the New York Times calls a “gleefully gruesome frightfest for grownups.”

Whether or not one agrees with Robbins’ statement that there is “no greater horror than having to face your family at this time of year,” Theater Talk offers a tasty diversion from the season’s traditional TV fare.
